Skoda phonebox
The Skoda brand is expanding their range of the latest infotainment technology. Technology featured in SKODA Octavia and SKODA Superb from spring 2016. I don't know if it's possible to do it as I've never bothered to try. Phonebox charges your Smartphone using the Qi wireless standard. Yes, I know you can have your own hotspot from your own phone blah blah blah, but this is less hassle for me as I can chuck my phone in the tray and forget about it when the kids want to watch Minecraft on YouTube.Īn rSAP phone can do the same job as the SIM card slot but iPhones don't support rSAP so can't do it in this way. I thought bluetooth was standard on all models anyway. My iPhone 6S+ fits in there nicely so you won't have any problems with a 6. It can also connect Apple CarPlay to the head unit via a USB lead. There is a tray in front of the gear shifter with a sliding lid, this has a rubber mat so your phone is safe in there. The basic Bluetooth is just that: a connection to the car for hands free calling and music streaming.
